The greatest cause of blindness and visual impairment in Africa is not eye disease but refractive error and much of this is avoidable and can be corrected with spectacles. Little resources have been allocated to address this problem in many countries which is why Mission for Vision has elected to develop a concept that would help bring change and hope for many.
